Robert & Mary Fuller

Serving in Australia, Southeast Asia

Never hearing any sounds in the world since our births, we have had deafness dominate our lives; however, it does not hinder us from hearing spiritual sounds from the Lord. God has led us, Robert and Mary Fuller, to Melbourne, Australia, where there is a large deaf community.

After learning Auslan (Australian sign language), we began working alongside fellow BIMI missionary couple Bobby and Lisa Gunter, reaching the deaf. The deaf population in the Melbourne area is about 15,000—there is much work to be done!

We are involved in teaching in a Bible institute, ministering in the Kid's Club and Youth Group, leading in the worship service in Australian sign language and weekly Bible Study, and worshipping and fellowshipping with the hearing congregation of the Calvary Baptist Church. Using Australian sign language, we help the deaf "hear" the wonderful plan of God through their "eyes."
