Assistant Southeast Asia Director Alan Brooks and Tim Meyer, are heading up the Solomon Islands Bible Project. Tim has received permission to hand out Bibles to every high school student and staff member of each school represented in the entire country. There will be three different waves of groups going. Most of these groups are made up of missionaries, Australian pastors and Australia and American laymen. There are 28,000 Bibles being correlated and bound with covers in Australia. Because of mechanical difficulties some will not be completed until next year which will necessitate another trip. Funds are still needed to finish the project. Gifts can be sent to BIMI and designated as to the Solomon Bible Project. For more information Brother Brooks can be contacted at the mission board. He is willing to come to churches and present the project.
